I’m thankful for my family.

I’m thankful for my friends who both keep me humble and support me through tough times.

I’m thankful I have a job that has me working with great people, food, and beer.

I’m thankful that we had Grandpa with us for Thanksgiving last year. And I’m grateful that he didn’t spend months in a nursing home, angry and frustrated that he couldn’t d0 anything.

I’m thankful that I’m healthy.

I’m thankful that I get to write again.

I’m thankful that I’m able to save money right now.

I’m thankful that my not-so-wee charges are still in my life. It’s such a trip to see the kids I knew when they were preschoolers now getting on Facebook and thinking about college.

I’m thankful I paid off one of my student loans this year.

I’m thankful unemployment didn’t financially ruin me.

I’m thankful for mashed potatoes. Dear God, am I thankful for mashed potatoes.

I’m thankful for all the opportunities I’ve been given.

I’m hopeful for a wonderful Thanksgiving, not only for myself, but you and yours as well.
